The Polish YouTube community is in shock following explosive allegations of pedophilia against several well-known internet personalities. The scandal, dubbed “Pandora Gate,” emerged after popular YouTuber Sylwester Wardęga released a video on his channel implicating influential content creators in inappropriate relationships with underage fans.
In his video titled “Dark Secrets of Stuu and YouTubers: Pandora Gate (Boxdel, Dubiel, Fagata),” Wardęga revealed the results of his own investigation conducted over several weeks with fellow YouTuber Konopski. The investigation pointed to a prominent Polish YouTuber known as Stuu engaging in intimate relations with a 13-year-old girl. Wardęga shared screenshots of explicit conversations allegedly between Stuu and the teenager and suggested that a physical meeting between them might have taken place. He also hinted at the possibility of other influencers being involved in similar criminal activities.
Wardęga’s video quickly went viral, amassing over 5.7 million views within just two days of its publication. Social media platforms were flooded with discussions about the scandal, with more individuals coming forward to share accounts of inappropriate interactions between influencers and underage fans.
The gravity of the situation prompted a response from Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, who addressed the issue on his Facebook page. He expressed his concern and commitment to investigating the matter thoroughly. “We will not leave this issue unaddressed. As a parent and as the Prime Minister, I believe that the Polish state must do everything possible to protect children and young people from trauma, from incidents that begin online but leave a lasting impact on young lives,” stated the Prime Minister.
On the same day, Deputy Minister of Justice Piotr Cieplucha informed the National Prosecutor’s Office about the possibility of criminal acts of a pedophilic nature involving certain YouTubers and celebrities within the online creator community.
Minister of Justice Zbigniew Ziobro confirmed the initiation of intensive investigative activities, with the regional prosecutor overseeing the proceedings. He disclosed that key witnesses were being interviewed, and substantial evidence was being collected. The Central Bureau for Combating Cybercrime, in conjunction with the Warsaw police, was also involved in analyzing materials related to the case.
The Pandora Gate scandal has raised concerns not only about the safety of young internet users but also about the responsibility of social media platforms in regulating content and protecting vulnerable audiences.
