Poland orders troop shift east after Kremlin threat

Poland is moving extra troops towards the border with Belarus in response to the arrival of the
Wagner forces who relocated there after staging a short-lived mutiny in Russia last month.
Between 3,450 and 3,650 soldiers from the Russian mercenary Wagner group have travelled to
a camp close to Asipovichy, a town about 140 miles (230km) north of the Ukrainian border,
according to Belarussian oppositionists. Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko warned that
Russia’s Wagner mercenary group were keen to push into Poland. US state department said
    such comments are irresponsible.
