    Polenergia and Equinor Sign Key Contracts for Baltic 2 and 3 Offshore Wind Projects

    Polenergia and Equinor sign contracts for Baltic 2 and 3 wind farms, advancing offshore wind development in Poland.

    Polenergia and Equinor have signed significant contracts for the Baltic 2 and 3 offshore wind farms. The agreements involve Polish company Enprom, consortium Smulders Projects and Sif, and Iemants. The contracts cover the installation of onshore cables, production of transition pieces for turbine foundations, and the construction of two offshore substations.

    Strengthening Local Content

    Enprom, a leading Polish electrical engineering firm, will install 220 kV onshore cable lines and 400 kV connections to PSE stations, demonstrating strong local involvement in these projects.

    Offshore Substations and Transition Pieces

    The Smulders Projects and Sif consortium will produce 100 transition pieces, while Iemants will design and build two offshore substations. This includes engineering, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning of the platforms.

    With these agreements, Polenergia and Equinor move closer to starting construction of the 1,440 MW Baltic 2 and 3 wind farms, expected to deliver green energy to over 2 million households by 2027.
