Polenergia reports record financial results and secures permits to build Baltic Sea offshore wind farms, a major step in Poland’s renewable energy expansion.
Polenergia, Poland’s largest private energy group, has published its financial report for the first half of 2024, revealing its best performance to date. The company achieved a record EBITDA of PLN 394.6 million and an adjusted net profit of PLN 222.4 million. “This is an important milestone ahead of our planned Green Bond issuance,” said Jerzy Zań, CEO of Polenergia.
Offshore Wind Farms on the Baltic Sea
During a press conference, Jerzy Zań also announced that Polenergia has obtained all necessary permits to construct the Baltic 2 and Baltic 3 offshore wind farms. These projects, developed in partnership with Norwegian firm Equinor, are set to become some of the largest infrastructure undertakings in Poland’s history. The Baltic Sea wind farms represent a significant step in expanding Poland’s renewable energy capacity.
