Police Escort Rushes Woman in Labor to Hospital, Arriving Just in Time

In a tense but successful mission, police officers from Sokołów Małopolski in southeastern Poland escorted a woman in labor to the hospital, arriving just minutes before the birth.

The incident occurred on Wednesday during rush hour. A resident of Stalowa Wola, who had gone into labor, called the police for assistance as she and her husband faced heavy traffic en route to a hospital in Rzeszów. Fearing they wouldn’t make it in time, the couple reached out for help.

Officers quickly responded, maintaining phone contact with the couple. As they neared Rzeszów, the police located their vehicle and immediately activated their sirens and lights to clear a path through the traffic.

“The drive didn’t take long, and the woman was safely handed over to the medical staff,” said police spokesperson Magdalena Żuk. “Just ten minutes later, their baby boy was born.”

The grateful father expressed his thanks to the officers for their swift and vital assistance, ensuring the safe arrival of their newborn.
