Damian Soból, a Polish volunteer with World Central Kitchen, tragically lost his life during an Israeli airstrike on a humanitarian convoy in Gaza. On Saturday, April 20th, his hometown of Przemysl will bid him farewell. The funeral procession will commence after a solemn mass at St. Joseph’s Church.
City Prepares for the Farewell
Przemysl’s mayor, Wojciech Bakun, announced preparations for Soból’s funeral, anticipating a significant turnout. Parking areas will be designated, and shuttle buses arranged to transport mourners to the cemetery, as the procession covers a distance of approximately two kilometers.

The attack on the World Central Kitchen convoy in Gaza on April 1st resulted in seven fatalities, including Soból. His return to Poland on April 12th marked the beginning of preparations for his final farewell.
