Marcin Przydacz, head of the International Policy Bureau of the President of the Republic of Poland, stated that the recent attack on the Polish Ambassador to Russia, Krzysztof Krajewski, in St. Petersburg, is yet another element of a campaign of hatred and aggression aimed at Poland. “The safety of diplomats is a cornerstone of international relations. I express full support and solidarity with Ambassador Krajewski,” Przydacz wrote on platform X.

Poland’s Ambassador to Russia, Krzysztof Krajewski, confirmed in an interview with PAP on Thursday that he was attacked in St. Petersburg last Sunday.
“First, a group of individuals verbally assaulted me, and then they attempted to carry out a physical attack, but my security prevented it,” the diplomat recounted.
He emphasized that it was only thanks to the professionalism of the embassy staff that the physical assault did not occur.

“I strongly condemn the attempted attack on Ambassador Krzysztof Krajewski in Saint Petersburg. It is yet another element of the hate and aggression campaign directed against Poland. Przydacz wrote on X.
The attempted attack on the Polish ambassador in Russia was also condemned by, among others, the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
