On November 19, the head of the Ministry of Defense signed an agreement in Grajewo with local authorities to provide real estate for a military unit being established in the city. He also met with soldiers who serve in Podlasie, students of uniformed classes and residents of the region.
The signed agreement includes real estate owned by the city of Grajewo and under the management of the State Forests. In total, the Polish Army will acquire a complex of nearly 57 hectares.
The head of the Ministry of Defense recalled that the government’s priority is to strengthen security. This task is being carried out through the expansion of military units, increasing the number of troops, ongoing modernization, and the development of allied cooperation.
“Our aim is to strengthen the Polish Army so that Poland is safe, to deter an aggressor (…) We are strengthening the Polish armed forces. We are strengthening allied relations within NATO and thanks to this we are deterring an aggressor,” Mariusz Blaszczak said.
