Over 300 Polish companies have been registered in Ukraine during the war, according to Jacek Piechota, President of the Polish-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce, who spoke at the “Common Future” Ukraine Reconstruction Congress in Poznań. Piechota emphasized that rebuilding Ukraine presents a tremendous opportunity for the Polish economy, with many businesses already preparing to participate in this effort.
Piechota highlighted the growing economic cooperation between Poland and Ukraine, noting that more than 3,000 Polish firms have expressed interest in taking part in Ukraine’s recovery through the Polish Investment and Trade Agency. He stressed that the international community, particularly Poland, should be ready to support Ukraine in creating a modern economy post-conflict.
The congress, now in its second edition, aims to foster dialogue on the needs of Ukraine’s economy and explore partnership opportunities for Polish companies. Over 1,000 participants, including entrepreneurs, government officials, and local leaders from both countries, are attending to discuss strategic business and legal frameworks for collaboration. The event includes 40 debates and presentations from 100 speakers, providing a platform for networking and cooperation.
This gathering represents a critical step in preparing Polish firms for the large-scale investments anticipated once international and European Union funds become available for Ukraine’s rebuilding process.
