A group of Polish master’s degree graduates commenced prestigious two-year internships at European Space Agency (ESA) centers in the Netherlands, Spain, France, and Germany on April 1, 2024.
The Opportunity
In a groundbreaking initiative facilitated by a partnership between the Ministry of Development and Technology, ESA, and the Polish Space Agency, 14 Polish graduates kickstarted internships at ESA, marking the inaugural intake into the National Trainee Programme within ESA.
Program Overview
Under the National Trainee Programme (NTP) at ESA, interns will engage in key scientific and technological projects, gaining invaluable professional experience in an international setting. Areas of focus include systems engineering, lunar gateway assembly, lunar surface analog center construction, mission control, and Earth observation technologies.
Selection Process
Out of 52 applicants, 14 interns were selected based on their exceptional qualifications and experiences, reflecting a high level of interest and dedication among Polish youth in space-related endeavors.

These internships not only provide practical insights into ESA’s operations but also equip participants with skills transferable to Poland’s burgeoning space sector.
