Polish Sculptor Joins Jury at Chaco Biennale, Argentine

International art exhibition in Argentina with Polish sculptor Piotr Twardowski as juror. Celebrating global art in public spaces.

The Chaco Biennale is an international contemporary art exhibition that unites artists and art enthusiasts, fostering a deep connection between art and nature. This year’s event, held in Resistencia, Argentina, features a prestigious jury including Professor Piotr Twardowski from the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow.

Professor Twardowski, whose sculptures won awards at the 2004 and 2018 Biennale editions, received a diploma of recognition this year. Aleksandra Piątkowska, the Polish Ambassador to Argentina, presented the award.

Established in 1988 by the Chaco provincial government and the Urunday Foundation, the Resistencia Biennale attracts renowned sculptors from around the globe. Artists create original pieces in front of thousands of spectators, using various durable materials. These works are then integrated into the city’s public spaces, enriching its cultural heritage and transforming Resistencia into a unique open-air art gallery.

The Biennale’s significance has elevated Resistencia’s status in the international art scene, solidifying its position as a global reference point for art and culture.
