Polish President Andrzej Duda has confirmed that the United States is increasing its involvement in efforts to end the war in Ukraine. Following discussions with U.S. envoys, he expressed optimism about a possible ceasefire and even the conclusion of Russian aggression. Duda reassured the public that America remains committed to European security
High-Level Talks with U.S. Representatives
Duda recently met with two key envoys from President Donald Trump—Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and General Keith Kellogg. After these discussions, he stated that he had a comprehensive understanding of U.S. actions regarding the conflict. He emphasized that concerns in Poland and the EU about potential U.S. disengagement were unfounded. “America is fully engaged in efforts to end the war,” Duda declared.
Highlighting Trump’s determination, Duda expressed confidence that decisive U.S. actions could lead to at least a ceasefire, if not a complete resolution of the conflict. He stressed that a Russian victory was unacceptable and called for a just peace. The Polish leader also received assurances that the U.S. has no plans to reduce its presence in Europe—on the contrary, military support may even increase.
