President-elect Karol Nawrocki held a phone conversation with the President of Finland, Alexander Stubb. Topics discussed included “security architecture, allied cooperation within NATO structures, Eastern policy and transatlantic relations, as well as collaboration in the Baltic Sea region.”

Karol Nawrocki shared news of the conversation on the X platform. “I would like to sincerely thank the President of Finland, Mr. Alexander Stubb, for his congratulations on my election as President of the Republic of Poland and for the productive conversation,”
– wrote the president-elect.

He noted that the discussion covered topics such as: “security architecture, allied cooperation within NATO structures, Eastern policy and transatlantic relations, as well as collaboration in the Baltic Sea region.”

“It is worth emphasizing that Finland’s recent accession to NATO strengthens our collective security. On the sidelines of current affairs, we also spoke about history – including the Winter War, during which the brave Finnish army effectively resisted the overwhelming forces of the aggressor, the Soviet Union,”
– Nawrocki added.

The president-elect also announced that he had received an invitation to visit Finland.

“I hope that Alexander Stubb will visit Poland in the near future. Strong cooperation is the foundation of a secure future,” – he concluded.
