The President regrets that yesterday’s meeting with the Speaker of the Sejm did not take place, while a well-known internet commentator and seasoned political observer outlines a dramatic scenario. That is why the mass turnout of Poles on August 6 in Warsaw is so important.
Hołownia’s Surprising Stance
The President stated on Polsat News that the meeting had been proposed by the Speaker of the Sejm, “saying it would be good to talk before the swearing-in.”
“Then came the well-known interview [by the Speaker – ed.], which made the meeting necessary for me. However, the meeting did not take place. As I understand it, Szymon Hołownia withdrew from it. I was convinced the Speaker would come to see me today. I regret that the conversation did not happen, because an important issue he raised in his interview was to be discussed,”
the President emphasised.
The news that Hołownia would not be meeting with the President yesterday was conveyed on Polsat News by Norbert Pietrykowski, MP from Poland 2050. The intended topic of conversation was the Speaker’s recent remarks concerning a coup d’état.
As political observer Max Hübner commented on X, “Hołownia’s evasion of a meeting with President Duda, without even informing the Head of State, means that the establishment of the Third Republic has finally subdued him. And that, in turn, could mean something might happen to the Speaker before Wednesday at 10:00 a.m., for example, he could ‘fall down the stairs,’” he noted.
