“On my program on TV Republika, I presented the exact content of the ‘der SAFE’ documents prepared by the government. They state that this program means a ‘reversal of the structure of military procurement in Poland’ – so that purchases of American weapons will no longer dominate. This is yet another piece of evidence that the process we warned about together with Prof. Sławomir Cenckiewicz in the film Reset and the book Zgoda three years ago is now underway,“ wrote TV Republika’s programming director, Michał Rachoń, on social media.
President Karol Nawrocki vetoed the bill implementing the EU’s SAFE defense loan program. The head of state cited, among other reasons, the risk of violating national sovereignty and transferring part of security-related competences to European Union institutions. SAFE is an EU defense loan program from which Poland was expected to borrow approximately €44 billion. Following the veto, prominent representatives of the December 13 coalition launched a frontal attack on the president.
Sejm Speaker Włodzimierz Czarzasty announced today that “he will not assign a print number to the presidential draft of Poland’s SAFE 0% bill.” Why? “There are very serious doubts regarding the constitutionality of this law,” he explained.
TV Republika revealed excerpts of the EU SAFE agreement
This morning on TV Republika, the station’s programming director revealed shocking provisions from a document concerning the implementation of the SAFE program in Poland.
Among the excerpts was a section titled: “Reversal of the procurement structure.”
“It is worth emphasizing that the procurement program presented in the Plan signals a new approach and a reversal of the structure of military procurement in Poland – purchases from the EDTIB will significantly outweigh purchases from outside the EU.”
Rachoń: “We warned about this”
On his social media profile, Rachoń added a recording in which he recalls: “Today we published the details – exact quotes from the ‘der SAFE’ document. The most important part is this section of the justification, where the authors explicitly state that the goal of this project is a ‘reversal of the current procurement strategy of the Polish Armed Forces.’”
“Let us recall that since leaving the communist Soviet bloc, this strategy has been based on purchasing the best American military equipment. The goal of ‘der SAFE’ is to reverse this strategy. And they – the authors – wrote this explicitly. And we, TV Republika, have been warning about this for several weeks,” he says in the video.
The programming director of TV Republika also recalled that in the series Reset – about the reset in Polish-Russian relations during the first government of Donald Tusk “together with Prof. Sławomir Cenckiewicz, we said that this would be Donald Tusk’s strategic objective if he returned to power. He has returned, and pushing the United States out of Poland’s security relations has become his main and most important political goal. And he is pursuing it – and will continue to do so as long as he has sufficient support in Poland to remain prime minister.”
