Robert Kubica Behind the Wheel of Ferrari: Polish Driver Joins AF Corse Team

We’ve learned about Robert Kubica’s plans for the upcoming season. The Polish driver will take the reins of a Ferrari hypercar and compete in long-distance races under the banner of the AF Corse team.

Having triumphed this year in the WEC endurance racing series with the Belgian WRT Team, Kubica aims for success in 2024, this time behind the wheel of a Ferrari. The Italian team, AF Corse, announced on Wednesday that they have enlisted the services of the driver from Krakow.

“I am happy to join forces with AF Corse for the upcoming season. It is one of the most accomplished teams in motorsports, and I am confident that together we will do a great job. Additionally, I am returning to the Italian team, which is no small feat,” said Kubica, as quoted by the “powrotroberta.pl” portal.

On Wednesday, the Polish driver tested the Ferrari 499P at the legendary Italian Imola circuit. Kubica had previously been associated with Ferrari during his Formula 1 days. However, his career was halted by a serious accident in 2011 when he narrowly escaped death in the Ronde di Andora rally.”
