“Batman” Detained by a Significant Police Presence
Police entered the building where “Batman” — a man dressed as the superhero — was located. He had hung a banner out the window during a rally for presidential candidate Rafał Trzaskowski, which could lead to serious consequences. A large group of officers entered the premises, and the case is expected to end up… in court.
Due to the suspected commission of an offence under Article 52 § 2 point 1 of the Misdemeanors Code (disrupting a lawful assembly), and for failing to comply with police orders, the officers compiled the necessary documentation, which will be submitted to the court along with motions for punishment, – the police reported.
Tomasz Sakiewicz, president of TV Republika and editor-in-chief of Gazeta Polska and Gazeta Polska Codziennie, launched the “Solidarity with Batman” campaign on X.com. Within a few hours, it gained significant traction — by 2:00 p.m., the post had reached over 180,000 views and received over a two thousand likes.
