Bombers, fighter jets, drones, electronic warfare aircraft, destroyers, missiles. Surgically precise strikes on key regime facilities located thousands of kilometers away. The ongoing operation “Epic Fury” against Iran confirms that the United States is the only militarily self-sufficient power capable of delivering a rapid and effective strike anywhere on the map. This places the U.S. in the role of the key guarantor of global security. Yet EU dignitaries still fail to recognize this. Despite successive proof of American effectiveness and decisiveness, they continue – through programs such as SAFE or the project of creating a European army – to push the Americans out of our continent.
The very first strike on Iranian nuclear installations, carried out in June last year by the United States in cooperation with Israel, demonstrated what a modern military operation should look like – swift, precise, and employing the full spectrum of advanced weaponry. Further confirmation came in January this year, when within just a few hours Venezuelan dictator Nicolás Maduro fell into American hands. The U.S. military executed a plan calculated down to the second, cutting the enemy off from information, preparation, and response. This is no longer war in its classical sense, but a precise and fully controlled undertaking aimed at neutralizing threats to national security – such as dismantling the Iranian regime and its military capabilities.
The Power of Weaponry
Osama bin Laden, the leader of al-Qaeda responsible for the September 11, 2001 attacks, remained at large for nearly a decade. Capturing Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein took the Americans about nine months. All the more striking, then, is the speed with which Donald Trump is removing successive dictators from the world stage. The January operation “Absolute Resolve” in Venezuela lasted exactly 2 hours and 20 minutes. That was all U.S. forces needed to capture Maduro.
In the ongoing operation “Epic Fury” against Iran, within the first 24 hours not only was Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei – who had ruled for 37 years – eliminated, but also many of his advisers and top military commanders. This occurred in a country thousands of kilometers from the United States, with minimal losses – three soldiers killed and five wounded.
None of this would have been possible without the use of cutting-edge weaponry that ensured operational continuity and precision across every domain. Operation “Epic Fury” repeated a scenario already seen in Venezuela and during the June 2025 bombing of Iran – multidimensional action, real-time operations across all domains simultaneously, allied cooperation (U.S.-Israel), and meticulous intelligence preparation that effectively prevented any meaningful response.
It is enough to look at the list of weapons deployed by the U.S. in the first 24 hours of “Epic Fury”: B-2 bombers, F-16, F-22, and F-35 fighter jets. The combat debut of LUCAS drones – reconstructed based on Iranian Shahed-136 unmanned aerial vehicles. Patriot launchers, HIMARS and THAAD systems, close air support aircraft, electronic warfare platforms, air operations systems, aerial and maritime tankers, reconnaissance and transport units, aircraft carriers, and guided-missile destroyers. All of these systems lead their respective classes. Moreover, many have no equivalent in other countries.
The arsenal used by the U.S. against Iran could easily equip several states and still be considered formidable. And this is not the end – “Epic Fury” continues, and its duration and scale will depend on further actions by the Iranian regime. So far, Tehran has attempted to set the entire Middle East ablaze by attacking neighboring countries. There is therefore little doubt that military operations will continue.
Trump’s Decisiveness
The American leader has already secured his place in history as the one who removes dictators from the global stage at express speed. Once again, he has confirmed that he does not make empty threats and is prepared to defend U.S. interests. As he announces, so he acts. Moreover, he has shown that he is ready to stand shoulder to shoulder with strategic allies when their security is at stake.
China and Russia, repeatedly invoked by Iran in the context of retaliation for any potential attack, have limited themselves largely to diplomatic platitudes, calling for de-escalation. This too is telling, demonstrating that the alliance with Russia amounts to little more than worn-out phrases on paper.
Trump does not fear bold decisions and actions. He does not waste time waiting or calling other leaders to ask what to do. This is, of course, a reference to European leaders who, in times of crisis, first compete in issuing diplomatic notes, then jointly debate how to respond, and finally announce political opposition while waiting for further developments. Even media outlets strongly unfavorable to him are beginning to acknowledge Trump’s effectiveness. In the context of the current events in Iran, the German press has stated plainly: “Trump is doing Europe’s dirty work.” A powerless Europe. And the opinion of the passive and ineffective carries little weight.
Blind to Military Power
The ongoing operation “Epic Fury” against Iran confirms that the United States is the only militarily self-sufficient power capable of delivering rapid and effective strikes anywhere in the world. This places America in the role of the principal guarantor of global security.
Meanwhile, the European Union – passive and watching like a spectator in the last row of a theater – continues to spin utopian visions that an artificial construct in the form of a European army could guarantee security on the continent without potential U.S. involvement. As America provides further proof of its strength and decisiveness, calls grow louder in Europe to lay the foundations for a joint army as quickly as possible. Naturally, it would be managed from Berlin and Paris, which additionally seek to control a European nuclear umbrella based on the assumption that the American nuclear umbrella within NATO is no longer credible.
Yet this is nothing more than wishful thinking – empty rhetoric with no grounding in reality. Germany and France impose their narrative despite Washington’s repeated assurances that it has no intention of withdrawing its nuclear umbrella from our continent. The last thing a so-called European army would do is protect Europe. Complicated decision-making processes, undermining NATO structures, and slow crisis response are only some of the many flaws of this concept.
Whether in the case of a European army or the SAFE program – EU loans for arms – Berlin and Paris share the same objective: the military expulsion of the United States from Europe and the imposition on EU member states of a German-French armaments straitjacket, creating dependency through a single approved supply line for equipment and weapons.
For countries such as Poland, which for years has based its defense strategy on an arms alliance with the United States, this is a highly dangerous vision. It could cement the future development of the armed forces for many years, which in these extremely geopolitically unstable times would lead to a catastrophe for our security.
