“It is shocking that the government has banned ECR MEP Dominik Tarczyński from entering the country. Of course, if Starmer fulfilled his desire to rejoin the EU – he would not be able to do this,” this is how former British Prime Minister Liz Truss commented on the ban imposed on Tarczyński’s entry into the United Kingdom. A mocking remark on the matter was also made by Poland’s Foreign Minister, Radosław Sikorski.
MEP of Law and Justice (PiS) Dominik Tarczyński announced that he had been denied entry to the United Kingdom. “This is the face of communism in the 21st century. I have just been refused entry into the United Kingdom so that I could speak at the largest patriotic event in Europe,” Tarczyński stated.
He also announced that he would sue Keir Starmer, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. Earlier, Tarczyński had announced his participation in a major identity-focused demonstration in London, scheduled for May 16.
Former UK Prime Minister: Shocking
Former UK Prime Minister Liz Truss reacted to the decision concerning Tarczyński.
“It is shocking that the government has banned ECR MEP Dominik Tarczyński from entering the country. Of course, if Starmer fulfilled his desire to rejoin the EU – he would not be able to do this,” she wrote on social media. She added that she would speak with Tarczyński on Friday on “The Liz Truss Show”.
Sikorski Mocks. Tarczyński: “remember, Radek…”
The incident was addressed during a press conference held at the International Maritime Congress in Szczecin, where Radosław Sikorski was asked about it. When asked what advice he would give the Law and Justice (PiS) MEP, the head of Polish diplomacy responded mockingly:
“It was the British authorities who considered the MEP a threat to public order. I would advise him to simply tone down his public statements – perhaps less radicalism. Or maybe the British side simply does not believe in the effectiveness of his exorcisms…”
Tarczyński responded to Sikorski’s remarks online:
“This is how the Polish foreign minister behaves in a matter concerning a Pole, an MEP… P.S. Since Sikorski has decided on such a professional level of communication, my advice is as follows: Remember, Radek – the last drop always goes into the toilet!” he wrote on platform X.
