The brutal murder of Charlie Kirk. The Left in the European Parliament refused to honor his memory

Condolences are pouring in from around the world after Charlie Kirk was murdered with a gunshot on September 10. The friend of Vice President JD Vance was shot during a public appearance at Utah Valley University in Orem. On Thursday, the conservative faction in the European Parliament requested a moment of silence to honor Kirk’s memory. The reaction of the Left was shocking.

What happened today in the European Parliament must cause outrage.

As conservatives, we requested a moment of silence in the European Parliament to honor Charlie Kirk’s memory. The Left, calling themselves democrats, naturally refused. They are the same everywhere… Even in the face of death, they cannot show basic human compassion. That is why I will organize an exhibition in the European Parliament to commemorate Charlie Kirk. His legacy will bear fruit…

stated Law and Justice (PiS) MEP Dominik Tarczyński.

Maciej Wąsik published a recording of the incident on X, documenting the behavior of the Left and liberals during the requested moment of silence for Kirk, which ultimately never took place.

After the brutal crime that occurred in the USA, the President of Poland expressed condolences to Kirk’s loved ones.

Every act of aggression deserves condemnation. However, the murder of a young man, a husband, and a father because of political differences arouses the deepest opposition and undermines the very foundations of democracy. Charlie Kirk bravely defended values cherished by our nations. His message now resonates even more strongly. I join in prayer with the family of the tragically deceased and with the entire American nation,

Who was Charlie Kirk?

Kirk was an important activist of the Make America Great Again movement and an influencer shaping the choices and minds of young conservatives. He was killed during an open Q&A session at a public event. A drastic video of the murder quickly spread across social media. Donald Trump and JD Vance were shaken by this crime. The President of the USA ordered flags to be flown at half-mast until Sunday evening in honor of the deceased.

Meanwhile, the European Parliament struggled with honoring the deceased with a moment of silence. It was not the first time this institution of MEPs showed such a lack of sensitivity. On July 11, on the anniversary of Bloody Sunday, Poles were denied a moment of silence for the Polish victims of the Volhynia massacre.
