    The new President of the Polish Olympic Committee (PKOl)

    Radosław Piesiewicz, the current President of the Polish Basketball Association, has been elected as the new President of the Polish Olympic Committee (PKOl). The election took place during the Reporting and Elections General Assembly held on April 22, 2023, at the PKOl Olympic Centre in Warsaw.


    Piesiewicz won by a large margin, receiving 138 votes while his opponent, Kewin Rozum, received only 24 votes in the secret ballot. The new President thanked everyone for their support and promised to work together to build a new Polish Olympic Committee.

    Piesiewicz has been involved in sports since childhood and played football and basketball. He has a degree in law and administration from the University of Warsaw and completed postgraduate studies in project management, real estate brokerage, and real estate management. He also holds a Master of Business Administration degree.

    Before joining the PKOl, Piesiewicz was involved in the investment industry and local government. He has extensive business experience in advising publicly traded companies on mergers, acquisitions, and consolidation. Piesiewicz is also a social activist who participates in various charitable activities.

    Andrzej Kraśnicki, who has been the President of the Polish Olympic Committee since 2010, was awarded the title of Honorary President of the PKOl after serving for 13 years. The title was conferred by the General Assembly on the proposal of the Presidium.
