“The White House is already aware of the controversial post by Marek Wałkuski, the correspondent of Polish Radio (Polskie Radio) in liquidation,” said MEP Dominik Tarczyński on X.com. Wałkuski circled a Black man standing behind Donald Trump and described him as “staff”.
Marek Wałkuski, the U.S. correspondent of Polish Radio (Polskie Radio) in liquidation, posted an entry on X.com with a photo of Donald Trump, with a Black man visible in the background. Wałkuski claimed that it appeared to be someone from the staff of Mar-a-Lago. When a media storm erupted, he added another post with a photo of Black waiters wearing vests.
The post was widely perceived as racist. There has been no shortage of harsh criticism underneath it, including calls for the content to be removed. However, Wałkuski has not deleted what he wrote on January 4, even though the post has already reached one million views.
“The White House is already aware of your racist post. You are bringing shame and harm to Poland. There will be consequences,” wrote MEP Dominik Tarczyński today.
One of the commentators pointed out who the man indicated by Wałkuski actually is. The Black man in question is in fact a Secret Service agent. In the White House you will see many people wearing the same vest – even Hegseth wears it, we read. “Yes!” – confirmed Tarczyński, who is known for his good relations with Republican circles.
Controversial Wałkuski
This is not the first time Marek Wałkuski has sparked controversy. In March 2025, a clash between U.S. President Donald Trump and his deputy J.D. Vance and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky broke out precisely after a question asked by Wałkuski. Several months later, Wałkuski irritated the U.S. president once again. “You have repeatedly expressed your frustration and disappointment with Vladimir Putin, but you have taken no action, your administration,” he said.
“How do you know? Where are you from?” Trump replied, and heard that he was from Polish Radio (Polskie Radio).
“How do you know there has been no action? Secondary sanctions against India that cost Russia hundreds of billions. Would you say that is ‘no action’? And I have not yet moved on to the second and third phases of action,” the U.S. president listed, before concluding: “If you say there has been no action, I think you should find yourself a new job.”
