“They Disregard Poland’s National Interest.” PiS Leader Slams Tusk and Kosiniak-Kamysz

“It appears that both gentlemen—Tusk and Kosiniak-Kamysz—have no regard whatsoever for Poland’s national interest. The question is: whose interests are they serving?” said Jarosław Kaczyński, leader of the Law and Justice (PiS) party. He made the remarks in response to reports that Poland had transferred Patriot missile interceptors to Ukraine.

Reports of Patriot Missile Transfer to Ukraine

Reports have emerged suggesting that Poland transferred part of its stockpile of PAC-3 MSE interceptors—the most advanced missiles used by the Patriot air defense system—to Ukraine in recent months.

Despite efforts by the American manufacturer to increase production, PAC-3 MSE interceptors remain in short supply due to Russia’s ongoing invasion of Ukraine, the conflict in the Middle East, and the heavy operational use of the missiles.

Opposition politicians and representatives of President Karol Nawrocki’s political camp reacted critically to the reports.

In response, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz announced on Sunday that, following consultations with Prime Minister Donald Tusk, he had ordered the declassification of all Polish military donations to Ukraine made between 2022 and 2026.

Kaczyński Criticizes the Government

Kaczyński addressed the issue in a post published on X.

“Our allies are warning about aerial threats facing Poland, yet the government of Tusk and Kosiniak-Kamysz has quietly, without the consent of the Polish people, handed over key strategic air-defense missiles to another country,” the PiS leader wrote.

He concluded by adding:

“It appears that both gentlemen have no regard whatsoever for Poland’s national interest. The question is: whose interests are they serving?”
