Crowds in the capital protested against illegal migration, the agreement with Mercosur countries, and the rule of the current government. This apparently did not please the head of the current government, Donald Tusk, who declared today’s demonstration a “failure.” From the very beginning, one could observe heightened activity among politicians of the December 13 coalition on social media. Did they think that this way they could cover up reports from the demonstration?
On Saturday, a rally organized by the Law and Justice party (PiS) took place at Warsaw’s Castle Square, protesting, among other things, against illegal migration and the Mercosur agreement. Among those who spoke at the rally were PiS chairman Jarosław Kaczyński, former Prime Minister Beata Szydło, and former Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.
Photos and videos of the demonstration published on social media show that attendance was strong, and patriots came to Warsaw from all over Poland.
It is unclear which report of the event Donald Tusk watched, since he concluded that the demonstration turned out to be a “failure.”
“The ‘Great March’ of Kaczyński was a failure. You were better at bringing in migrants than protesters, Mr. Chairman,” wrote the head of the December 13 coalition.
However, internet users were quick to correct Donald Tusk’s mistake.
