If anyone ever wondered more deeply what the prime minister of a 40-million-strong country is occupied with, Donald Tusk provides the answer. Today he posted a video online in which – like a child in kindergarten – he draws a dog on a sheet of paper. There is no point in deluding oneself that this is merely an innocent PR stunt. It is simply another jab at the president and the so-called chain law.
At the beginning of December, President Karol Nawrocki announced that he had vetoed an amendment to the Animal Protection Act that would have banned keeping dogs on chains and introduced requirements for kennels in which they are kept.
The president justified his decision by saying that the provisions contained in it “stigmatized the countryside”, additionally assessing that the law was poorly drafted and announcing that he would submit his own draft legislation.
The spokesperson for the head of state – Rafał Leśkiewicz – literally moments later informed that “a presidential amendment to the Animal Protection Act has been submitted to the Sejm, which, instead of multiplying errors, repairs bad law. The draft puts an end to keeping domestic animals on chains, not only dogs, and restores real protection instead of illusory regulations. Now it is time for the Sejm to decide.”
Thus – the president vetoed the so-called chain law, but immediately submitted his own bill to the Sejm concerning the welfare of domestic animals.
In response to Karol Nawrocki’s veto, the coalition led by Donald Tusk heated up to red-hot temperatures and – uses the president’s constitutional right as a weapon against him. What is more, interestingly enough, in just a few days – on December 17 – the Sejm will hold a vote on the head of state’s veto of the so-called chain law, as announced by the Marshal of the Sejm – Włodzimierz Czarzasty.
Donald Tusk Draws a Dog… “Without a Chain”
It is clear that Tusk’s spin doctors are straining themselves as much as they can to come up with further “pins” aimed at the president. We have already written about one such example:
Today, however, Tusk and his team outdid themselves. Referring to an alleged trend circulating online of drawing the silhouette of a dog based on numbers, Tusk uploaded a recording in which – well, yes, he draws. It is worth reminding, in case anyone has forgotten, that we are talking about the prime minister of a 40-million-strong country, who should hardly be complaining about a lack of duties or boredom.
“Listen, I saw a video like this online and decided to try drawing something like that myself. I’ll show it to my granddaughters and I hope I’ll impress them somehow,” Tusk says in the video.
And when the picture was “ready”, the leader of the December 13 Coalition delivered a classic jab: “Well, it worked. And without a chain.”
No wonder this post prompted numerous reactions from internet users:

"I would be careful with chain-related topics if I were you.
Because when the President recently mentioned a symbolic one around your neck, even Roman’s troll farm didn’t save you from embarrassment 😅🤡"

"I’m curious what it looks like at your place. I mean, does some guy come in and say, ‘Sir, you’ll draw a little dog on a sheet of paper,’ or do you come up with this yourself?"

"A man who became Prime Minister 🙈
People are dying due to a lack of ambulances, his voters can’t wait for surgery after a cancer diagnosis, migrants are digging under the barrier, he wasn’t even invited to Berlin (!) and he’s playing kindergarten."
