Today, Poland celebrates its National Independence Day. One hundred and seven years ago, as World War I came to an end, Poland was reborn after 123 years of enslavement. “Today, thousands of Poles are coming out to show love, respect, and patriotism for their homeland. (…) Congratulations to Poland – these are wonderful celebrations, a commemoration of great people and a great nation,” said Thomas Rose, the U.S. Ambassador to Poland, who is taking part in events marking National Independence Day.
