The Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson, Maciej Wewiór, said that the ministry has no information indicating that any Polish citizens currently in Venezuela need assistance. “We estimate that a few citizens of the Republic of Poland are in the country; most Poles are staying in Venezuela on a long-term basis,” he emphasized.
“The United States has successfully carried out a large-scale attack targeting Venezuela and its leader Nicolas Maduro. Venezuela’s leader Nicolas Maduro and his wife have been captured and taken out of the country,” U.S. President Donald Trump announced today. Earlier, explosions were reported in Venezuela’s capital, Caracas.
The diplomacy ministry’s spokesperson said on the platform X that the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Caracas is verifying the actual number of Poles staying in Venezuela and is contacting individuals registered in the Odyseusz system. He also said that, according to estimates, several Polish citizens are in the country. “We have no information that any of our citizens need assistance. Most Poles are staying in Venezuela on a long-term basis. The mission and its staff are safe,” he wrote.

Wewiór also appealed for people to remain in safe places and avoid unnecessary risk, and urged citizens of the Republic of Poland who are not registered in the Odyseusz system to contact the Polish mission.
