Video from a field goes viral online. Farmer addresses Tusk directly [VIDEO]

Farmer Mariusz Borowiak recorded a video message addressed to Prime Minister Donald Tusk, in which he pointed out the import of potatoes from Germany worth nearly 134 million PLN. The recording has already been viewed more than 761,000 times and has triggered an avalanche of comments.

Social media quickly erupted. Farmer Mariusz Borowiak published a short video in which he addressed Prime Minister Donald Tusk directly. The message was simple and straightforward.

134 million PLN for Germany. What about Polish potatoes?

“Mr. Donald, we work – we don’t just talk. You imported potatoes from Germany for 134 million, while Polish farmers had to disc them into the soil because they had nowhere to sell them,” Borowiak said to the camera while standing in his field.

Germany turned out to be the largest supplier of potatoes to Poland. According to data reported by the media, from January to August 2025 they earned nearly 134 million PLN from these exports. During the same period, Polish farmers struggled to sell their own harvests.

Borowiak did not stop at settling accounts with the past. In the video, he can be seen at work – planting new potatoes and looking toward the future, albeit with cautious optimism.

“Today we are planting new ones so that customers can once again have Polish potatoes. But will we make money? We don’t know. We look to the future with optimism,” he added.

Hundreds of thousands of views and comments

The internet reacted immediately. The video gathered more than 761,000 views, 27,000 likes, over 2,300 comments, and 3,600 shares. These numbers mean that the video recorded in a field reached a wider audience than many reports produced by major media outlets.

In the comments section, voices of solidarity with farmers dominate – along with questions about why Poland imports tons of potatoes while having plenty of them domestically.
