On the night of May 18th, Warsaw will come alive with the 20th edition of Night of Museums. This year, 312 venues, including museums, cultural centers, and unique locations such as the Ministry of Justice and the Prime Minister’s office, will open their doors to the public. Visitors can explore hidden corners of the National Museum, watch screenings of Agnieszka Trzos’s films, and enjoy a performance by the award-winning group Mikromusic.
Interactive and Engaging Experiences
At the Copernicus Science Centre, guests will meet a robot with artificial intelligence, while the new building of the Museum of Modern Art will offer a sneak preview before its official opening. Families can participate in workshops and themed tours, and children will enjoy the kamishibai theater in the Royal Łazienki Museum. The Botanical Garden will host a nighttime treasure hunt, and the Pszczelarium workshop will reveal the secrets of beekeeping.
The Night of Museums will also feature interactive installations and concerts. The Warsaw Uprising Museum will provide a poignant journey through history, and the Warsaw Waterworks will open its storm overflow chamber for tours. Additionally, the Jewish Museum POLIN will offer guided tours of its permanent and temporary exhibitions, while the Historical Meeting House will showcase the nightlife of Warsaw in the 1950s and 60s.
