Will the US help Poland if threatened by Russia? Trump clears the doubts

In recent days, Polish media spread a false claim that Donald Trump would help Poland “after the war.” This obvious fake news was debunked today by the President of the United States himself. When asked whether he would assist Poland and the Baltic states if they were threatened by Russia, Trump replied: “I would. I will.”

A few days ago, the PAP, followed by other news outlets, TV stations, and politicians, reported false information based on a mistranslated statement by Donald Trump. According to PAP, the US President supposedly said he would send military support to Poland after the war had ended. The correction came only many hours later, but there are still those who believe this was indeed what the US President meant.

That narrative has now been completely dismantled by President Trump himself.

When asked by a journalist on the White House lawn whether, in the event of Russian escalation, he would help Poland and the Baltic states, the US President answered: “I would. I will.”
