Wrocław Medical University has been recognized as the top university in Poland, according to the prestigious Times Higher Education World University Rankings (THE WUR). The institution ranked between 501 and 600 out of 2,100 universities globally, achieving the highest placement among Polish universities.

The university excelled particularly in teaching and research quality, which have been a top priority in recent years. Rector Prof. Piotr Ponikowski expressed his satisfaction with the results, highlighting the institution’s focus on improving these areas.
A Globally Respected Ranking
THE WUR is one of the most well-regarded global rankings for higher education. It evaluates universities based on 18 criteria, including research impact, academic environment, industry collaboration, and international outlook. This year’s analysis included 157 million citations and 18 million scientific publications.
Wrocław Medical University has consistently performed well in international rankings and has been the top Polish medical school on the Shanghai List for four consecutive years.
