10th Snail Rhythm Festival: Celebrating a decade of music and medical integration with global talent and expert-led workshops.
The 10th Snail Rhythms Festival took place from July 10-12 at the World Hearing Center in Kajetany and the Witold Lutosławski Concert Studio in Warsaw. This year, 15 participants from around the globe showcased their musical talents. The event saw strong representation from Asian countries, reflecting ongoing educational programs promoting music engagement among implant patients.
A Decade of Musical Celebration
Initiated by Professor Henryk Skarżyński, the festival is a testament to the impact of passive music exposure on auditory development. “This year’s festival is the culmination of my dreams from a decade ago,” said Prof. Skarżyński, celebrating the progress in auditory treatment and the integration of music in rehabilitation.
Conference and Workshops
On July 11, the World Hearing Center hosted a conference on “Music in Human Auditory Development,” featuring experts in medicine, science, and art therapy. Workshops emphasized using various art forms in treating auditory disorders.
Grand Finale: “Laureates with the Orchestra”
The final concert, “Laureates with the Orchestra,” took place on July 12, featuring selected participants alongside professional musicians and the Polish Radio Orchestra. The event highlighted the festival’s global community of music enthusiasts and showcased their talents.
