257 new infections and 15 more deaths caused by the coronavirus were confirmed today by the Polish Ministry of Health. According to Janusz Cieszyński, the deputy Minister of Health, the situation in the country is systematically improving.
“The health care system returns to normal functioning, to receiving patients as usual. We want to appeal once again to everyone to keep using the health care system, since we received reports of people cancelling appointments or not showing up at all. All hospitals are abiding by strict sanitary regulations and there is no need to be afraid. Apart from that, since the second half of the year, hospitals in Poland will receive 880 million zloty more than in the first half of the year. These funds will go not only to hospitals, but also to specialist clinics and other health care facilities”, stated Minister Cieszyński.
