Michał Rachoń has revealed shocking new details regarding the release of Ryszard Cyba, the murderer of PiS activist Marek Rosiak. The TV Republika journalist raised questions that, according to many commentators, remain unanswered.
The Circumstances of Cyba’s Release
In today’s edition of Michał #Rachoń, new information was presented concerning Ryszard Cyba, who was sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of Law and Justice (PiS) activist Marek Rosiak.
The program’s host, Michał Rachoń, pointed out that Cyba has no family, raising the question of who initiated the process of changing his inmate status.
The procedure for Cyba’s release from prison was initiated by the penitentiary’s management. It was the prison director who formally submitted a request to the court to consider transferring the inmate. The entire process was of a procedural nature.
How Did a Dangerous Convict Disappear?
As revealed by the TV Republika journalist, a prison officer described Cyba’s behavior as follows:
“Initially, he was held in the high-security ward of the remand center in Piotrków Trybunalski. There were no complaints about him—he was actually trouble-free. He maintained his physical fitness, a habit from his time in the military. Later, they transferred him somewhere else in Poland, and as of yesterday, there has been no trace of him.” – said a prison officer, as quoted by Rzeczpospolita.
From Isolation to a Care Home Transfer
According to information presented in the program, just two days after leaving prison, Cyba reportedly refused to take his medication, prompting an intervention by the police and emergency services. He was taken to a psychiatric hospital and then, on Thursday, transferred to another social care home.
The program also reminded viewers that, according to the court’s ruling, Cyba was supposed to remain isolated from society for life due to the high risk of committing another similar crime.
