    Best Fifa Men’s Player for 2020: Lewandowski

    ‘Thank you for your beautiful and patriotic attitude. Congratulations!’ – wrote President Andrzej Duda after announcing that Robert Lewandowski has been named the best men’s player for 2020 at the Best Fifa Football Awards. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki also congratulated Polish footballer.

    ‘Congratulations to Mr Robert Lewandowski! Such a wonderful success! Thank you for your beautiful and patriotic attitude. Bravo!’- wrote President Andrzej Duda on his Twitter account.

     

    Robert Lewandowski wrote on his Twitter account that he encourages everybody to ‘never stop dreaming’ and he thanked for the award. 

     

     

    ‘An enormous congratulations for the Best Fifa Men’s Player for 2020, bravo Mr Robert! For me and many other fans, you are the best player for years, and now there is a confirmation of it. You go down again in history – the first Pole who became the best footballer in the whole world!’ – wrote Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki on Twitter. 

     

    Lewandowski is the first Pole who got such an award. There were three people in the final – he, the Portuguese Legend Cristiano Ronaldo and Argentinean Lionel Messi.

     

    The captains and coaches of national teams, journalists and internauts vote in the plebiscite. Each of these group has a 25% share of the final result. 

     

    The President of the International Federation of Association Football Gianni Infantino presented the award to Lewandowski personally in Munich.
