    Activists of the anti-communist opposition will receive financial support from Polish state

    Increasing the income thresholds entitling to one-off and periodic financial assistance and enabling the granting of one-off financial assistance twice a year, among others for activists of the anti-communist opposition and repressed people, a draft amendment submitted to the Sejm assumes.

     

    The draft prepared by a group of PiS MP was submitted to the Sejm on Friday.

    Currently, the head of the Office for Veterans and Victims of Oppression may grant anti-communist opposition activists who are in a difficult financial life or health situation with financial assistance to partially cover the costs of purchasing medical devices. The planned changes will make it possible to grant such aid also to cover these costs in full.

    The changes consist in increasing the income thresholds which make it possible to grant financial aid.
