    The Consultative Committee of the Presidents of Poland and Ukraine held talks

    Historical issues, security, including energy, trade and investment cooperation, as well as Poland’s support for the Euro-Atlantic perspective of Ukraine, were the topics discussed by the Consultative Committee of the Polish and Ukrainian Presidents on Monday, the presidential office informed.

    On Monday, the 29th meeting of the Consultative Committee of the Presidents of Poland and Ukraine was held in the form of a videoconference.

    As the Office of the President informed in a press release, during the meeting the members of the Consultative Committee reviewed the agenda of bilateral relations, with particular emphasis on the provisions of the Joint Declaration of President Andrzej Duda and President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky of October 12, 2020.

    In addition, the parties “paid tribute to the victims of the COVID-19 pandemic in both countries and underlined the importance of international solidarity to defeat the virus and overcome its negative social and economic results.”

    During the meeting – the presidential office informed – the “will of mutual support and exchange of experiences was confirmed in order to obtain by Ukraine the prospect of EU and NATO membership, related to the consolidation of efforts to continue internal reforms in order for Ukraine to meet the requirements and standards of the Euro-transatlantic community”.
