In Poland, 2 million 644 thousand 263 people are fully vaccinated – that is, with two doses or a single dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. The first dose was received by 7 million 717 thousand 859 people – it was announced on Sunday on the Twitter profile #SzczepimySię (#WeVaccinate) run by the Government Information Center.
It added that a total of 10 million 287 thousand 545 vaccinations against COVID-19 have been carried out so far.
Detailed data on, among others, vaccination numbers in individual provinces are currently unavailable. As explained on the #SzczepimySię profile, the government service is undergoing an update and will be unavailable until 24 hours.
Polish patients receive a COVID-19 vaccine from one of the four companies. The preparation developed by Janssen Pharmaceutica NV, a company from the pharmaceutical division of Johnson & Johnson, is the only one that requires a single dose. The vaccines from Pfizer/BioNTech, Moderna and AstraZeneca are two-dose.
