This weekend, from July 9th to 11th, Piotrkow Trybunalski will host the XVI Congress of “Gazeta Polska” Clubs. “After a one-year break due to the coronavirus pandemic, we will meet again among friends,” wrote the Chief of the “GP” Clubs Ryszard Kapuscinski on the klubygp. pl website. There are about 500 “GP” clubs all over the world.
The place of the congress will be the Dresso resort, which covers an area of 50 thousand m2 and is situated in a picturesque pine forest at the confluence of the Luciaza and Pilica Rivers near the Sulejów Reservoir (www. dresso. pl). The XVI Congress of “Gazeta Polska” Clubs will be attended by honorary guests: President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, Deputy Prime Minister Jarosław Kaczyński and Senior Marshall Antoni Macierewicz.
The Congress of “GP” Clubs will be held in a stationary place, observing all safety rules.
The program includes thematic panels devoted to foreign policy, economy, pro-family policy, education and upbringing of children and youth and about Covid-19 threats in Poland. There will also be a thematic panel about the current affairs of “Gazeta Polska” Clubs.
As Kapuściński recalls, last year a virtual XV Congress of “Gazeta Polska” Clubs had been organized online, which, due to the number of participants, had gone down in history.
More than 1.5 thousand people registered on a special portal to observe the convention and take an active part in it. If we add the accompanying persons, we find that thousands of people attended the convention.
This year marks the 16th anniversary of the establishment of the first “Gazeta Polska” club.
“Since then, club members have met at specially organized conventions, which have become a celebration for the entire Free Speech Zone community. All club members look forward to the reunions, knowing that they will meet friends with whom they will talk frankly about Polish issues” – said Ryszard Kapuściński.
