PKN Orlen has created Poland’s first corporate support program for technology startups, targeting young innovative companies from around the world.
The new company is called Orlen Skylight Accelerator. Thanks to it, Orlen also wants to develop in such areas as petrochemical production, power generation, and retail sales.
“We are already using the potential of scientific units, mainly Polish, but also foreign ones. This way we build new competencies in the areas of “tomorrow’s” technologies, such as hydrogen, green energy, or bioplastics,” – says Daniel Obajtek, the President of PKN Orlen.
“Now we are launching our own corporate accelerator. By working directly with young technology companies, we will source technology solutions from the market. Thanks to our initiative young companies have a chance to develop and implement innovations here in Poland,” he adds.
The accelerator is aimed at companies with ready-made products and services that can support PKN Orlen’s business areas. Each of the participants carrying out the pilot implementation will receive a contract to provide services, products, or solutions offered by them and expert support in the implementation process.
