    Major Julian Kulski “Goliath” has died

    At the age of 91, Maj. Julian Kulski “Goliath”, a volunteer for the Warsaw Uprising, decorated with the Cross of Valor, died, “Don’t forget about us” Foundation reported today on Twitter.

    “Together with our family and friends in pain, it is with great regret that we announce that died during the night – the hero of the Warsaw Uprising, architect of the World Bank, academic lecturer, and the undisputed authority of several generations of Poles,” the foundation wrote.

    For his part, the Polish ambassador to the United States, Piotr Wilczek wrote on Twitter: “It is with great sadness that I received the news of the death of Julian Kulski – a longtime resident of Washington, a great patriot, a veteran of World War II and the Warsaw Uprising, an honorary man and my good friend. Let him rest in peace”.

    In August 2020, prof. Julian Kulski, ps. “Goliath,” said that the Warsaw Uprising was the most important part of his life, and his participation in the resistance movement resulted from the knowledge he learnt from history and patriotic upbringing.
