The historic outbuilding that is part of the manor and park complex of the Jan Kochanowski Museum in Czarnolas (Masovian voivodeship) will undergo renovation and conservation works. The project received funding from the EU. An agreement was signed on this matter.
The renovated outbuilding is to host the work of the Information, Documentation, and Research Center on Jan Kochanowski and literary classes, especially related to the works of the Renaissance poet. The organization of symposiums, conventions, and lectures is also planned there.
The wooden outbuilding house next to the main building of the museum is in bad technical condition and requires renovation and conservation works. The cost of the project is over PLN 1.1 million, of which over PLN 537 thousand will come from EU funds. The plans also include the purchase of equipment for the center and educational rooms.
Existing for over 60 years, the Jan Kochanowski Museum in Czarnolas is the only museum institution in Poland and the world devoted to the outstanding poet of the Renaissance. Annually, the museum is visited by over 28,000 people.
