Robert Lewandowski is among the 30 nominees for the Ballon d’Or, the prestigious award of the magazine “France Football” for the best player of the year in the world. The prestigious prize will be handed out at a ceremony in Paris on 29 November.
The Poland national team captain had a hugely successful year in 2020 when he was the top scorer in all the competitions he participated in, namely the Bundesliga, the German Cup, and the Champions League. Bayern then won the triple crown.
At the time, it seemed that no one would take the Ballon d’Or away from “Lewy” again, but the plebiscite was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
