Festive concert on the anniversary of Fryderyk Chopin's death

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Requiem was performed on the anniversary of Fryderyk Chopin’s death on Sunday, October 17 at the Holy Cross Basilica in Warsaw.

With the Mozartian Requiem, the world of music said goodbye to this genius Polish artist in Paris. Traditionally, on that day, Mozart’s Requiem was performed in the temple where the composer’s heart rests.

This year’s concert, performed by the soloists, Collegium 1704 and Collegium Vocale 1704, conducted by Vacláv Luks, gains a particularly solemn character of an event taking place during the 18th International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition.

Admission to the concert was free.
