Mikołaj Marczyk and Szymon Gospodarczyk won the Koszyce Rally in impressive style and sealed their second career Polish Rally Championship title! Never before in the history of the ORLEN Team had a driver who, in the colors of the national company, reached for the most valuable rally trophy in Poland.
A week before his 26th birthday, Miko Marczyk became the youngest driver to win 2 Polish Rally Championships overall. In 2019, when he was still 23 years old, he became the youngest ever national champion. His first triumph on Rally Košice was his 10th win in the RSMP (The Rally Championship of Poland. – editor-s note), 16th on the podium out of 24 he took part in. He has already scored 86 stage wins in the Polish championship.
The winning team of Škoda Fabia Rally2 Evo, after successful Saturday, today won 4 out of 6 stages of the Slovakian RSMP final. Marczyk and Gospodarczyk were unrivaled on both rides of the longest scheduled 23.45km SSC Jahodná. The ORLEN Team triumphed on the 2.95-kilometre-long SS Zlatník, where Wojciech Chuchał and Sebastian Rozwadowski in another Fabia were just 0.1 seconds faster. The 2014 Polish champions, by finishing second with a loss of over a minute, secured the vice-championship of Poland.
