The Poles shocked the Germans by defeating the current European champions in the U21 category. The red-and-white team won 4:0, and the experts watching the performance of the coach Maciej Stolarczyk’s team watched in amazement.
The white-reds travelled to the match against the leaders of the group in the qualifying round for the European Youth Championships as if to the lion’s den, but after a quarter of a match, they had a three-goal lead. Adrian Benedyczak played an amazing game – the 20-year-old, who plays in Italian Parma daily, was certainly noticed by observers.
After two goals by Benedyczak, Michał Skóraś entered the scoring list, and the impressive victory was summed up at the end of the match by Kacper Kozłowski. After winning in Germany Poles moved up to third place in the table (10 points), leaders are still our rivals (12 points). The team from Israel has the same number of points as Germany.
The next match is on November 16 at 5:30 p.m. in Krakow, and Poland will play against Latvia. This will be the last this year meeting of Maciej Stolarczyk’s team.
