From December 9, you can visit the Gallery of 19th Century Art again. At the exhibition, you will be able to admire the masterpieces of Polish painting and sculpture in a wider selection than before. About 300 objects in total, presented in a new colour and infographic set. The National Museum in Warsaw and PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna (Polish Energy Group), the patron of the Gallery of 19th Century Art, invite you to visit it.
“After a three-month break, we again invite the public to the permanent Gallery of 19th Century Art. We kept the current narrative of the exhibition but supplemented it with additional threads. We have devoted more attention to, among others, the works of Witold Wojtkiewicz, one of the leading painters of Młoda Polska (Young Poland), and we confronted the works of Jan Matejko with the achievements of his talented student, Maurycy Gottlieb. We have also prepared a new infographic with an extensive comment system. We hope that the 19th Century Art Gallery will remain one of the most visited exhibitions in the Museum,” says Agnieszka Rosales Rodríguez, curator of the exhibition.
