Polish company became the main partner of the first space mission of the Sultanate of Oman

Polish company SatRevolution has been selected by the Sultanate of Oman to manufacture and operate satellites that will be launched into deep space in the first such mission in the Arab country. The agreement was signed on Wednesday.

The framework agreement was signed in Muscat by the five consortium members. Other participants in the mission will include the Polish TUATARA capital group and the American company Virgin Orbit, with which SatRevolution cooperates.

“We are honored and delighted to have been selected by the Sultanate of Oman for the mission to deliver our nanosatellite technologies to both low Earth orbit and deep space projects. These space projects will contribute to the Sultanate’s short-term goals, which include modernizing the education ecosystem, supporting scientific research and innovation, and strengthening the national development of cutting-edge technologies. SatRev is proud to be a part of this,” said SatRevolution CEO Grzegorz Zwolinski.

“Despite many technical advances, to date, only a handful of institutions have been brave enough to successfully organize space missions,” commented Dan Hart, CEO of Virgin Orbit.
