A 21-year-old Polish man has been fatally stabbed in Eltham, south-east London, local media reported. An acquaintance of the slain man’s family relayed that the man was attacked when he briefly entered the store to buy milk.

The incident occurred on Tuesday shortly after 5 p.m. According to LBC radio, the murder victim is Bartosz W., who worked at the construction site. A group of people allegedly attacked him outside a local grocery store. He was transported to the hospital where the man was pronounced dead.

At this time, no one has been arrested in connection with the case and police are asking anyone who may know something about it to help.

“Bartek was attacked on Tuesday, February 8, outside a local grocery store. He went out with his girlfriend to get milk. After unsuccessful attempts to save his life, he sadly died shortly thereafter. He was 21 years old and with his whole life ahead of him, he was about to start a new job. His family and friends are shattered and in shock,” – wrote a friend of the slain man’s mother launching a fundraiser on the fundraising platform GoFundMe to cover funeral costs.
