Duda: Ukraine is a part of the EU Community

Poland supports Ukraine’s fast-track accession to the European Union; Candidate status should be granted immediately and accession talks should start immediately afterwards – said President Andrzej Duda on Saturday.

“Poland supports Ukraine’s fast-track accession to the European Union. Candidate status should be granted immediately and membership talks should begin immediately thereafter. Ukraine should also have access to EU funds for reconstruction. This is due to Ukraine,” the President tweeted.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has recently repeatedly expressed his conviction that the Ukrainian people have earned membership of the European Union and that such a decision would be a very important element of support against Russian aggression.
